Harding Township occupies an area of 20 square miles of picturesque countryside set amidst the rolling hills of southern Morris County and is just 29 miles from Manhattan. The town center which consists of a post office, church, delicatessen, auto repair shop and a few offices is the quaint village of New Vernon.
